CHICAGO – Loyola men's golf opens the 2026-2027 season at the Virtues Intercollegiate on August 29-30 in Nashport, Ohio. Rounds one and two will be played on day one and round 3 will be played on day two at The Virtues Golf Club, with both days teeing off at 8 a.m. CT.
The teams will compete on the 7,243 yard par-72 course. Loyola is joined by Bowling Green State, Cleveland State, Detroit Mercy, Marshall, Miami (Ohio), Michigan, Northern Illinois, Robert Morris, Richmond, and Wright State.
Loyola's opening weekend lineup features Connor Woodin, Alex Lee, Jackson Overton, Yago Lopez, and Andrew Chan. Michael Washburne will compete as an individual.
Overton returns for his fourth season with the Ramblers after holding a 75.2 scoring average over 23 rounds in the 2025-26 season. He earned his first career win at the Purdue Fall Invitational on Oct 13-14, competing as an individual and shooting a 143 (74-69) to finish +1 and claim the individual title.
Woodin also returns for his third season after averaging 76.3 over 12 rounds last season. His best performance came at the Lake Jovita Invitational on Feb 9-10, where he posted a 224 (75-73-76).
Lee, Lopez, and Chan will all make their Loyola debuts this season. Washburne will also make his first appearance for the Ramblers while competing as an individual.
The Ramblers enter the 2026-27 season looking to build on last season's campaign with a mix of returning experience and rookies. With Overton and Woodin back in the lineup following strong 2025-26 campaigns, Loyola will open the season at The Virtues Golf Club.
