CHICAGO – Four Loyola University Chicago women's cross country runners crossed the finish line in succession Friday afternoon to lead the Ramblers to a first-place finish at the North Park/CUC Early Invitational at Schiller Woods.
Mackenzie Armstrong (19:21.4), Lindsey Kiehl (19:21.4), Jo Collins (19:21.5) and Frannie Perry (19:21.4) finished the 5K together, securing Loyola's first team victory of the 2025 season. Armstrong, Kiehl and Perry made their Loyola debuts in the race.
Scarlett Moriarty, the fifth Rambler in competition, wasn't far behind, clocking 20:37.5 in her first collegiate race.
Loyola will compete next at the Notre Dame National Catholic Championships in South Bend, Indiana, on Sept. 19.
