Women's Basketball Unveils 2025-26 Non-Conference Slate

CHICAGO – Loyola University Chicago women's basketball head coach Allison Guth announced the program's 2025-26 non-conference schedule Friday. The Ramblers will play 11 games, including one exhibition, before the start of Atlantic 10 play.

"Our non-conference schedule is officially released, and I think it's a really challenging slate," Guth said. "Each year you look at how to build morale while also pushing your team to prepare for A-10 play, and I believe this schedule strikes a great balance. We're facing very talented teams, with a tough November leading into a slightly lighter December due to finals."

Loyola hosts North Central in an exhibition Oct. 26, a matchup Guth said will carry special meaning.

"We're excited for our first exhibition game against North Central, led by their head coach Maggie McCloskey-Bax, Loyola's all-time leader in 3-pointers made," Guth said.

The Ramblers officially open the season Nov. 3 at Milwaukee before returning to Gentile Arena for their home opener Nov. 6 against Green Bay. On Nov. 12, Loyola heads to Storrs, Connecticut, to face defending national champion UConn.

"Of course, we have a marquee matchup with UConn on Nov. 12," Guth said. "Locally, we'll face rivals Illinois State, UIC, DePaul, and Northwestern—each presenting tough tests and great storylines, from Illinois State's postseason success to Northwestern celebrating Joe McKeown's retirement."

After visiting UIC (Nov. 22) and DePaul (Nov. 26), Loyola plays host to Western Michigan on Dec. 6 before welcoming Oakland on Dec. 15. The Ramblers then head to Evanston to face Northwestern on Dec. 18 and close out the non-conference slate at home Dec. 22 against Austin Peay.

"We also have challenging regional matchups with Milwaukee, Western Michigan, and Oakland, where we'll see former Rambler Keisha Newell, now the head coach of the Golden Grizzlies, on the sidelines." Guth said. "Along with strong mid-majors like Green Bay, this schedule mixes high-level competition with meaningful connections to our program and community."

"It's a balanced, exciting non-conference lineup, and I can't wait to see Rambler Nation out at our home games, especially in December when there are plenty of opportunities to come support us."

Following the non-conference slate, the Ramblers will play an 18-game Atlantic 10 schedule, which includes five home-and-home series, four additional home games, and four road games.
