CHICAGO, Ill. - Loyola Chicago dropped a sweep to No. 12 Minnesota Friday night in Gentile to wrap up a four-match home stretch.
The Ramblers fall to 3-7 on the season.
"Minnesota is a very good team. They played a really clean match and didn't give us a lot of points," said head coach Amanda Berkley. "We had a few too many hitting errors. I thought Sam had a great game defensively. Everything that was channeled towards her, she was able to make the play. I am proud of her. She really stepped up tonight."
Leyna Nguyen finished with 12 kills on the day to lead the Ramblers attack while hitting .286.
