Goalkeeper collects her third weekly honor this year.

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Loyola Chicago's Allison Deardorff was named the Atlantic 10 Defensive Player of the Week for the second consecutive week, per the league's announcement on Monday afternoon. In the conference opener, Deardorff secured her seventh overall shutout to push Loyola past Fordham on Sunday, Sept. 21.

The redshirt sophomore goalkeeper, now 6-1-2, recorded a season-high eight saves in the Ramblers' 1-0 victory against the Rams. She leads the A-10 in three categories: goals against average (.333), saves (.921 save percentage) and in shutouts per game (.778). It's her third weekly honor this season and eighth of her career. Deardorff is zeroing in on her program best 10 total shutouts which she tied last season.

The Ramblers gear up for another road trip, beginning at the Dayton Flyers on Thursday, Sept. 25 then closing out at the Davidson Wildcats on Sunday, Sept. 28.
