KINGSTON, R.I. -- Loyola Chicago secured its third straight sweep, downing Rhode Island in three sets for the Ramblers' first Atlantic 10 road win on Saturday, Oct. 3. Loyola improved to 6-8 overall and 3-1 in league play.
Junior Kate Maley paced the Ramblers' attack, finishing with a season-high 12 kills on .500 hitting, and by sophomore Leyna Nguyen, who had 11. Libero Sam Falk had the match-high 20 digs along with five blocks from senior Avary DeBlieck to lead them defensively.

How It Happened
SET 1 | The Ramblers never trailed en route to a 25-19 first-set win, opening up its largest lead at six points. Loyola's front row blocked four Rhode Island attacks and capitalized on 10 Rams' attacking errors.
SET 2 | Loyola continued to roll after a set-one win by securing the second 25-20, again never trailing throughout. The Ramblers collected 17 kills in the set, led by Nguyen (6) and junior Chloe Morgan (5), and hit .326. The offense got a boost from four aces in the stanza.
SET 3 | The Ramblers completed the sweep with a 25-20 third-set win. Loyola took its lead for good at 9-8 after three lead changes. Three Ramblers served an ace to boost the offense.
