CHICAGO - Loyola Chicago closes this week's play at VCU on Saturday at 1 p.m. CT. The Ramblers look to rally from a shorthanded loss at George Mason on Wednesday, while the Rams look to build on a two-match unbeaten stretch in A10 play.
QUICK KICKS
• The week started with a road match at George Mason where the Patriots picked up a 4-0 win. The Ramblers went down two players to red cards to assist the win.
• Loyola earned its first A10 win over the weekend against Davidson, 2-1. It marked the first meeting between the team's since the conference transition, and evened the all-time series, 1-1.

Nico Kehayov scored the first goal of the match in the 15th minute, while
Chimnosoh Okeke netted the game winner in the 16th. Okeke's goal was his first of the season.
• Loyola tallied its first league points vs. George Washington on Sept. 26.
Lucas Webb scored in the 90th minute to force a 1-1 draw. Webb was awarded A10 Rookie of the Week for the performance. It was his first career goal.
• The season opening unbeaten streak matched the best start to a season since 2016 when Loyola went 7-0-0 to start the year.
• Loyola is still undefeated on its home turf with a 3-0-3 record at Loyola Soccer Park. The Ramblers have wins over NIU, SIUE, and Davidson at home.
• Eleven Ramblers have scored at least one goal for Loyola this season.
Luka Ivancic leads the team with three goals scored, while
Arved von Vegesack,
Mateusz Drazek, and
Seth Stewart have two each. Loyola's goal total is up to 16 and counting, which is tied third most in the A10.
• Head coach
Kevin Robson is in his first year at the helm. He was named the fifth head coach in program history in December 2025.
SCOUTING VCU
• The Rams are 1-7-3 overall and 1-2-1 on the year. They picked up a win over Dayton last week and forced a 1-1 draw with George Washington earlier this week. Their non-conference schedule saw five top-25 teams.
• Mohammed Ibrahim leads the Rams with seven points on two goals and three assists. His first point came in a 1-1 draw with High Point. He had a goal and assist vs. Dayton and assisted last match vs. GW.
• Manuel Monteiro leads the team with 22 saves over nine starts. Trevor Maloney has had the last three starting nods in goal and picked up the win and tie between the posts. He made four saves vs. GW and three at Dayton.

VCU leads the all-time series, 2-1-1. The Rams won last year's match, 3-0, in Chicago.
