MOBILE, Ala. -- Loyola Chicago went 0-2 on day two at the South Alabama Invitational, opening the day with a 6-3 loss in a rematch against North Alabama before being shut out 8-0 by the host team on Saturday, Feb. 21.Â
Freshman Anna Kiel (2-2) started and took the loss in the circle for Loyola Chicago (6-7).
Game One: Loyola 3, North Alabama 6
Loyola started the scoring in the fourth inning with Kiel's RBI double to score Nat Lesnicki. The Lions then rallied for six runs and take a 6-1 lead before the Ramblers got back on the board in the seventh. Sophomore Averi Vander Woude scored on an error before junior Liz Sedakis drove in the final run.Â

Game Two: Loyola 0, South Alabama 8
The Ramblers recorded five hits in the loss to the Jaguars, who put up seven runs in the opening frame. South Alabama added one more run before the game finished in five innings. Rookie pitcher Katie Geydoshek started the game for Loyola and took the loss.Â

- Sophomore Alli Pawlowicz had the team-high two hits against South Alabama. The shortstop is on a four-game hitting streak.Â
