DAYTON, Ohio -- Freshman pitcher Anna Kiel was dealing in game three at Dayton, throwing a three-hit shutout to lead Loyola past their conference foe in a 9-0 rule-rule victory. Coach Quote: Alicia Abbott
"Our biggest improvement since opening the season is experience and learning through failure. That's the point of pre-season, to help you prepare for conference season. We weren't perfect this weekend, but we figured out how to score runs and keep them off balance. Anna [Kiel] did a great job attacking early in the count offensively and staying strong late in counts on batters. Our defense was solid behind her, and Nat [Lesnicki] had a huge weekend at the plate."
How It Happened
