CHICAGO – Loyola Chicago track and field will compete across three meets this weekend, with one group of Ramblers traveling to California for the Bryan Clay Invitational and the Leopard Invitational, while another competes locally at the Wheaton "Don Church" Twilight Meet.
The Bryan Clay Invitational runs Thursday through Saturday at Cougar Athletic Stadium in Azusa, Calif. The Leopard Invitational will be held Thursday and Friday at Ortmayer Stadium in La Verne, Calif., located a few miles away. The Wheaton meet is scheduled for Saturday at McCully Stadium in Wheaton, Ill.
The Bryan Clay Invitational is among the nation's premier distance-focused collegiate meets, routinely producing fast times and NCAA qualifying marks.
Action in Azusa begins Thursday at 9 a.m. CT with the women's 10k open, followed by additional 10k sections. Evening competition features the 3k steeplechase and 10k invitational races.
Friday's schedule opens at 9 a.m. CT with the 5k opens and continues throughout the day. Midday events include the 800-meter open and invitational races while evening action features the 5k invitational sections.
The meet concludes Saturday evening with the 1,500m races across open, invitational and elite sections.
