CHICAGO – Loyola University Chicago women's soccer standout
Zoe Hevey earned a pair of preseason honors Monday, while the Ramblers were picked to finish fifth in the 2026 Atlantic 10 Women's Soccer Preseason Poll, as announced by the league office.
Hevey was named to the 2026 IWSOC/United Soccer Coaches Missouri Athletic Club Hermann Trophy Positional Players to Watch list for forwards, recognizing her among the top attacking players to watch nationally entering the 2026 season. She was also selected to the 2026 Atlantic 10 Women's Soccer Preseason All-Conference Team.
Loyola received 133 points in the Atlantic 10 preseason poll, placing fifth among the league's 14 teams. Dayton was selected as the preseason favorite with 188 points and nine first-place votes, followed by Saint Louis with 182 points and three first-place votes. Rhode Island earned 164 points and one first-place vote to take third, while Fordham finished fourth with 135 points.
Duquesne was picked sixth with 130 points, followed by VCU (111), La Salle (92), George Mason (90), Davidson (71), Saint Joseph's (64), Richmond (55), George Washington (41) and St. Bonaventure (14).
After earning a spot in the 2025 Atlantic 10 Championship last season, the Ramblers have high expectations for 2026. The campaign officially commences this Wednesday (Aug. 12) as Loyola takes on Central Michigan at home. Kickoff is at 7 p.m. inside Loyola Soccer Park.
