CHICAGO – Loyola University Chicago men's soccer opens its 2026 preseason schedule Saturday with an exhibition match at Michigan State. Kickoff is set for 4 p.m. CT in East Lansing, Michigan.
The Ramblers continue exhibition play with a home match against Indian Hills Community College on Aug. 11 at 5 p.m. at Loyola Soccer Park before wrapping up the preseason Aug. 15 at Indiana. Kickoff against the Hoosiers is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. CT.
Head coach Kevin Robson enters his first season leading the Ramblers after being named the program's head coach this offseason. He is joined by assistant coaches Nic Powers, who arrives from Saint Louis, and Toney Anderson, who joins the staff from High Point.
Loyola returns a strong core of experienced players for the 2026 campaign, led by senior midfielder Jack McFeely, the team's returning leader in goals, assists, points, shots and shots on goal. Senior forward Petar Janjic also returns after recording five points and 18 shots last season, while junior midfielder Luka Ivancic is back following a six-point campaign. Junior defender Nicholas Roe returns to anchor the Ramblers' back line.
The Ramblers also welcome 13 newcomers to the roster. Loyola's newcomers include goalkeepers Max Ionita (Chicago) and Ori Yedlin (Northbrook, Ill.); defenders Cohen Havill (Evansville, Ind.) and Lucas Webb (St. Louis, Mo.); midfielder/defender Braeden Wright (St. Petersburg, Fla.); midfielders Mateusz Drazek (Des Plaines, Ill.), Nico Kehayov (Northbrook, Ill.), Caden Lee (Las Vegas, Nev.) and Seth Stewart (Oswego, Ill.); midfielder/forward Zach Dunne (Cork, Ireland); and forwards Riley Ferraro (Vancouver, British Columbia), Shane Howard (Los Angeles, Calif.) and Chimnosoh Okeke (Laval, Quebec).
Loyola opens the regular season Aug. 20 at Green Bay before hosting Northern Illinois (Aug. 23), Milwaukee (Aug. 27) and DePaul (Aug. 30). The Ramblers then travel to Omaha, Nebraska, for the Jesuit Invitational to face Santa Clara (Sept. 4) and Gonzaga (Sept. 7) before returning home to host SIUE (Sept. 10) and traveling to UIC (Sept. 13).
Atlantic 10 play begins Sept. 19 at Fordham, followed by the conference home opener against George Washington (Sept. 26). Loyola also travels to Wake Forest for a nonconference matchup Sept. 29. The Ramblers' conference home schedule includes Davidson (Oct. 3), St. Bonaventure (Oct. 17) and Dayton (Oct. 31), while road league matches feature George Mason (Oct. 7), VCU (Oct. 10) and Saint Louis (Oct. 24).
