HUNTINGTON, WEST VIRGINIA – The Rambler men's golf team wrapped up the two-day Joe Feaganes Marshall Invitational on Tuesday afternoon. Loyola Chicago competed at the Guyan Golf & Country Club in Huntington, West Virginia, on the par-71, 6,523-yard course.

Loyola finished in tenth at +9 (281-288-292) with a total score of 861.

"​​We showed a lot of flashes the last couple of days and definitely had some positives in there," said head coach Peter Pougnet. "Connor had his best finish of his college career. Alex and Michael are showing they are ready for college golf. Unfortunately, as a team, we made way too many mistakes. We need to keep improving, which we will."

Connor Woodin led the Ramblers turning in a career-best performance, finishing -1 after three rounds. He posted a three-round score of 212 (72-67-73) to tie for 21th place. Woodin carded a 4-under 67 in the second round, marking his lowest round of the tournament. 

Next up for the Ramblers, Alex Lee finished even-par after three rounds. He tied for 27st with a score of 213 (67-73-73). Lee opened the tournament with a 4-under 67 and finished with 13 total birdies, tying for eighth in the tournament. 

Jackson Overton finished tied for 37th with a three-round score of 216 (70, 76, 70). Overton carded a pair of 70s in rounds one and three.

Nathan Anderson finished tied for 73rd at +9 with a three round score of 222 (72-74-76). Anderson posted his best round of the tournament in the opening round with a 1-over 72. 

Cole Beto rounded out the Loyola lineup, finishing tied for 80th at +11 with a three round score of 224 (74-74-76). Beto recorded 37 total pars, tying for eleventh in the tournament. 

Michael Washburne competed individually for the Ramblers, finishing tied for 21st at 1-under with a three round score of 212 (71-70-71). Washburne posted two 1-under 70s in the first and final rounds.

Loyola will take a week and a half off then head to the Earl Yestingmeier Invitational on Sept. 26-27 in Muncie, Indiana.
