CHICAGO - Loyola Chicago returns home to take on the George Washington Revolutionaries on Saturday at 7 p.m. CT. Both the Ramblers and Revs look to bounce back from losses in their A10 openers and pick up their first league win of th 2026 campaign.
QUICK KICKS
• The Ramblers opened the season on a seven-match unbeaten streak before falling at UIC and Fordham in back-to-back matches. Loyola was held scoreless in both road contests.
• The opening unbeaten streak matched the best start to a season since 2016 when Loyola went 7-0-0 to start the year.
• Before conference play opened, Loyola posted a 2-1-0 week with wins over Gonzaga and SIUE.
Maxwell Ionita earned the A10 Defensive Player of the Week award for his effort in goal. He posted two shutout wins, 19 saves, and a .33 goals against average over the three matches. Ionita made a season-high eight saves against the Zags.

Mateusz Drazek has been the go-to rookie for the Ramblers. He already has two A10 Rookie of the Week nods following wins vs. Santa Clara, Green Bay, and NIU.
• Ionita ranks among the league and country's best goalkeepers through the first half of the season. He ranks in the NCAA top-40 in saves (34), shutouts (3), save percentage (.810), and saves per game (4.25)

Arved von Vegesack is off to a hot start for Loyola. He's first in the A10 and 12th in the country with two game winners. His four assists is 20th in the NCAA.
• Head coach
Kevin Robson is in his first year at the helm. He was named the fifth head coach in program history in December 2025.
SCOUTING GEORGE WASHINGTON
• The Revs are 4-3-1 after dropping their last two matches to Delaware and La Salle. The Explorers handed them a 3-2 loss in the A10 opener last weekend.
• Jaden Dubon leads GW with 15 points on five goals and five assists. His 15 points is the most by a single player in the league so far this season.
• Dubon scored a pair of goals in a 3-0 win at UMBC in August. He had a career-high three assists at Binghamton during the opening week of action.
• Tom Macauley and Diego Pena have split time evenly in goal for the Revs. Pena posts the best record at 2-1-1 and has a team-leading 13 saves.
SERIES HISTORY
Loyola leads the all-time series, 3-0. All three matches have been shutout wins. The teams haven't met since the 2023 season when Loyola downed GW, 2-0.
