MANHATTAN, Kan. — The Loyola Chicago women's golf team concluded play at the Powercat Classic in 10th place. The highlight of the tournament for the Ramblers was the play of sophomore Robbin Zetrouer, who finished the event with a career-best 54-hole score.

Loyola ended with a final score of 57-over-par (+16, +18, +23), which landed them in 10th place at the 12-team event. Host Kansas State successfully defended the team title with a final score of even par, while Kansas State's Jiarui Chen took home the individual title with a score of 15-under-par.

"I was very proud of how the team played this week," said head coach Brandy Johnston. "The course was really tough. It was set at 6,500 yards, which is about 400 yards longer than we are used to. That coupled with the wind was a good test of our ability. I felt like the players rose to the challenge and played some really solid golf overall."

The Ramblers were led by Robbin Zetrouer, who finished the event in a tie for 13th place with a score of +8 (+4, +3, +1). Zetrouer's final score is her new career-best 54-hole score, and her one-over-par, 73-stroke third-round performance was a season-best and tied her career-low round that she set last season at Saint Francis. Zetrouer also led the team with seven birdies, which are tied for her most at an event in her career. She also recorded the team's first eagle of the season at the par-five fourth hole in round one.

"Robbin played outstanding from start to finish this week," continued Johnston. "Even when it looked like she was out of a round, she always found a way to get strokes back. Her resilience is one of her strengths, and it was on display all three rounds."

In addition, junior Grace Hui ended the Powercat Classic in a tie for 43rd with a final score of +17 (+4, +3, +10). Hui also recorded six birdies this event. Sophomore Maureen O'Leary finished with a score of +18 (+3, +7, +8) to land in 46th place. Junior Madison Haugen ended in a tie for 47th place with a final score of +21 (+8, +5, +8). Finally, in her season debut, sophomore Reese Kite finished with a score of +22 (+5, +11, +6) to land in a tie for 50th. In the third round, Kite recorded her first career eagle at the par-four 13th hole.

The Ramblers will be in action again next week when they head to Indianapolis, Indiana for the Butler Fall Invitational, hosted by Butler, Oct. 5-6.
