CHICAGO- Three Ramblers were named to the 2015 U.S. Men's Junior National Training Team, as Ben Plaisted, Jeff Jendryk and Ricky Gevis have been selected to the 21-man roster. The team will begin training on June 10-21 at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Lake Placid, N.Y. before the roster is cut to 12 players for the Men's Under-21 Pan American Cup on June 23-28.
Plaisted and Jendryk were members of last year's Men's Junior National Team that finished third at the NORCECA U21 Continental Championship, while Gevis has been selected to the team for the first time.
In addition, two Loyola signees were named to the 25-player roster for the 2015 Boys' Youth National Training Team, as Dane Leclair and Collin Mahan were selected for the second straight year. The team will begin training in July in conjunction with the USAV High Performance Championships before the roster is cut to 12 players to compete at the FIVB Boys' U19 World Championship on Aug. 14-23 in Argentina.
Both Leclair and Mahan were members of last year's Boys' Youth National Team that won the NORCECA Continental Championship in Tulsa, Okla. and are set to join the Ramblers in the fall of 2015.
