- The 43-point margin was Loyola's most lopsided win in a season opener, surpassing an 83-46 win over UIC on Dec. 2, 1989
- In addition, it was Loyola's largest margin of victory overall since a 94-46 win at UIC on Feb. 10, 1988

- King's 21 points also were a new career high, besting her previous mark of 16 against Illinois State during her freshman year at Ball State

- Monica Albano was held scoreless (0-3 FGs) but handed out six assists and collected four steals before fouling out after 18 minutes of play
- After finishing ninth in the Horizon League in rebounding margin last season (-8.5), Loyola was a +10 (40-30) on the boards tonight
- Loyola held Chicago State to just 15 points in the opening half, tied for the second-lowest first-half output by a LU opponent in program history (record: 12, Western Illinois on Nov. 20, 2009)
