How it Happened
After Princeton raced out to a 5-0 lead to open the match, Loyola rallied to eventually take a 15-12 lead, capped by a kill from Nick Olson and a Collin Mahan service ace. The Tigers managed to eventually cut the deficit to one, but kills from Ben Plaisted, Mahan and Will Tischler upped the lead to three points before Jeff Jendryk fired a kill to end the set. The Ramblers tallied 4.5 blocks and five digs in the set to hold Princeton to a .000 clip.

Princeton took an early lead to open set two, eventually upping the score to 12-9. The Tigers held the steady lead until Loyola scored four unanswered points, including a Nick Olson service ace and a pair of kills from Will Tischler, to tie the set at 17-17. The teams then swapped sideouts until Princeton scored back-to-back to take the 24-22 advantage, forcing the Ramblers to call a timeout. The Ramblers then fought off three set points before scoring back-to-back, capped by a double-stuff from Dane Leclair and Jeff Jendryk, to end set two.

The two teams traded points to open set three before Loyola scored three unanswered, including a kill from Ben Plaisted and a Tischler/Jendryk block, to take a 12-9 lead. Loyola never looked back, as Jeff Jendryk then led the Ramblers on a 6-2 run, firing two kills to go along with four blocks, to up the score to 18-11 before going on to win it, 25-19.
