MVC Women's Golf Scholar-Athlete Release 
Junior Summer Moser and senior Logan Willis, both members of the Loyola University Chicago women's golf team, have been named to the Missouri Valley Conference's Scholar-Athlete Team for women's golf, it was announced by the league office on Wednesday. Both earned Honorable Mention accolades.
Moser closed the year with a 79.3 stroke average in 19 rounds of play that ranked third overall on the Rambler roster. The Lutz, Fla. product carded 10 rounds in the 70s, highlighted by a season-low even-par round of 72 during the final round of the Bradley Spring Invitational, where she earned a share of 11th place at 227 (82-73-72). Away from the course, Moser, who is making her second appearance on the MVC Scholar-Athlete Team, sports a 3.88 cumulative grade-point average as an Accounting major.
Willis wrapped up her time with the Maroon & Gold by seeing action in 22 rounds as she posted an 81.1 stroke average. A native of Kohler, Wis., Willis recorded eight rounds in the 70s. She fired her 18-hole season-low of 75 during the opening rounds of both the Bradley Spring Invitational and the 2017 Missouri Valley Conference Women's Golf Championship. Willis, who is now a three-time Scholar-Athlete honoree, boasts a 3.95 cumulative grade-point average as a Film & Media Production major.
The criteria for the MVC Scholar-Athlete team parallels the CoSIDA (College Sports Information Directors of America) standards for academic Capital One Academic All-America program. Nominees must have at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average (4.0 scale), while the student-athletes must have reached sophomore athletic and academic standing at their institutions and must have participated in at least 50 percent of her team's rounds or played at the MVC Championship.
