CHICAGO (October 5, 2018) – Five Loyola University Chicago men's basketball games will be televised live on NBC Sports Chicago or NBC Sports Chicago+ during the 2018-19 season as part of the Ramblers' local TV package, which was announced today.
The slate of NBC Sports Chicago games begins right off the bat, with the 2018-19 season opener versus UMKC on November 6 at 8 p.m. The Ramblers will be playing their first regular season game at Gentile Arena that evening after an unforgettable 2017-18 campaign that ended with the program's first trip to the NCAA Final Four since 1963 and a No. 7 final ranking in the
USA TodayCoaches Poll.
Loyola's November 9 showdown with Furman, a team that won 21 games a year ago, will be televised live on NBC Sports Chicago, as will a December 5 matchup with Mid-American Conference contender Ball State at 8 p.m.
A pair of games versus Missouri Valley Conference foes will also be carried on NBC Sports Chicago – January 15 versus Valparaiso at 7 p.m. and January 30 against UNI at 6 p.m. (on NBC Sports Chicago+). NOTE: All scheduled Ramblers telecasts on NBC Sports Chicago will also be available via an authenticated stream at NBCSportsChicago.com/WatchLive.
These contests are in addition to four other Loyola games that will air as part of MVC or visiting team productions – at UIC (December 1), versus Indiana State (Jan. 2), at Bradley (February 13) and versus Evansville (February 20).
The first change for fans to catch the Ramblers in action comes October 23 when they host Winona State in an exhibition game at Gentile Arena.
