CoSIDA Google Cloud Women's Soccer All-District Release
CHICAGO (November 8, 2018) – Madison Kimball (Fair Oaks, Calif./St. Francis Catholic), a senior on the Loyola University Chicago women's soccer team, has been named a Google Cloud Academic All-District selection by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA), the organization announced on Thursday. She is the program's first academic all-district honoree since the 2008 season.
Kimball is in the midst of a fantastic final season with the Maroon & Gold. The Fair Oaks, Calif. native has netted a career-high nine goals, a total highlighted by her first career hat trick back on back on October 25 against Evansville, to go along with an assist. She earned the first All-Missouri Valley Conference nod of her career, landing on the second team.
Away from the field, Kimball boasts a 3.86 cumulative grade-point average as a Sport Management and Marketing double major.
To be nominated, a student-athlete must be a starter or important reserve with at least a 3.30 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) at his/her current institution. Nominated athletes must have participated in at least 50 percent of the team's games at the position listed on the nomination form (where applicable). This honor recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.
Loyola opens play in the 2018 NCAA Women's Soccer Championship on Friday evening at 6 p.m. against Florida State in Tallahassee, Fla.
