CHICAGO (September 11, 2018) – Porter Moser, head men's basketball coach at Loyola University Chicago, will be interviewed by host David Kaplan as part of NBC Sports Chicago's Inside Look presented by Cadillac series. The interview with Coach Moser debuts on September 15 at 6:30 p.m. Live stream will be available at NBCSportsChicago.com/WatchLive or via the NBC Sports app to authenticated NBC Sports Chicago subscribers.
In this edition of "Inside Look," Moser discusses everything from growing up from his early playing days in high school and college, his transition from player to coach, working for legendary coach Rick Majerus, what the Final Four run has meant for the University and mid-major programs in general, and much more.
A native of suburban Naperville, Moser starred at Benet Academy before his collegiate playing career at Creighton. Heading into his eighth season as the head coach at Loyola, Moser has guided the Ramblers to a pair of postseason appearances during his tenure in Rogers Park – a College Basketball Invitational (CBI) championship in 2015 and last season's unforgettable run through the NCAA tournament to the Final Four.
Over the past four seasons, Moser has steered the Loyola program to an 89-50 (.597) ledger, including a school-record 32 wins in 2017-18. Loyola's 50 victories over the last two seasons are its most over a two-year period since posting 51 total wins during the 1962-63 and 1963-64 campaigns.
