Tyler Anderson and
Devin Johnson, the Loyola University Chicago men's golf team resides in a tie for sixth place following the opening two rounds of the Flyer Invitational in Kettering, Ohio.

Loyola closed the first day of play at the NCR Country Club (par 71, 7,048 yards) with a 36-hole total of 604 (302-302) that has it sitting alongside Bowling Green (307-297=604). Wright State (292-286=578) leads the 11-team field, while the Raiders' Bryce Haney used a one-under-par 141 (72-69) to move to the top of the individual leaderboard.

Anderson and Johnson both closed the day with scores of 149 to move into a tie for 16
th place. Anderson (74-75) carded a three-over-par 74 during the day's opening round, while Johnson (75-74) turned in an identical score to round out the afternoon.

Nate Vance turned in a first-round 76 as part of a 153 (76-77) that will see him enter Tuesday's final round tied for 39
th. Freshman
Timmy Crawford is tied for 46
th at 154 (77-77) after posting back-to-back 77s, while fellow freshman
Zach Walsh shaved five strokes off his first-round effort during the afternoon, recording a 76 to climb into a tie for 58
th with a 157 (81-76).
