CHICAGO (November 21, 2019) – Loyola University Chicago will be part of the field for the 2020 Myrtle Beach Invitational, it was announced today. Joining the Ramblers in the tournament, which will take place November 19, 20 and 22 at the HTC Center on the campus of Coastal Carolina University will be Charlotte (Conference USA), Dayton (Atlantic 10), Missouri (SEC), Nebraska (Big Ten), Pennsylvania (Ivy), Pittsburgh (Atlantic Coast) and Utah State (Mountain West).
 
Four of the teams competing in next year's Myrtle Beach Invitational reached the postseason in 2018-19. Utah State earned the Mountain West's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament and in addition to Loyola, both Dayton and Nebraska participated in the National Invitation Tournament a year ago.
 
Owned and operated by ESPN, the Myrtle Beach Invitational is in its second year and in the inaugural event in 2018, UCF defeated Western Kentucky in the championship game.
 
Loyola (3-2) returns to the hardwood November 25 when it commences play at the Cayman Islands Classic by taking on South Florida.
