CHICAGO (March 25, 2019) - Loyola University Chicago guard
Clayton Custer (Overland Park, Kan./Blue Valley Northwest/Iowa State) has been selected to the 3-Point Championship roster for the 31st annual State Farm College Slam Dunk & 3-Point Championships at Minneapolis' Target Center on Thursday, April 4,
Intersport announced today. Custer is one of eight men's college basketball players selected for the event that will air live on ESPN at 8 p.m. CT. He was invited to take part in the 3-Point Championship after being recognized as one of the nation's finest shooters from 3-point territory.
Custer had a remarkable career at Loyola, playing three seasons in Rogers Park after transferring from Iowa State. This season, he earned Third Team All-MVC accolades and was a Google Cloud Third Team Academic All-American, while helping lead the Maroon and Gold to a second straight MVC regular-season championship and National Invitation Tournament (NIT) berth. Custer, who shot 45.1 percent (60-for-133) from three-point territory last season, finished his career with 182 three-point field goals, connecting on 41 percent (182-for-444) of his triple attempts.
