In Short...
The Ramblers emerge victorious, 1-0, to wrap up the second exhibition match against the Milwaukee Panthers at Loyola Soccer Park on Tuesday night.
Coach Jones' Thoughts
"It's always nice to play here at home," head coach Neil Jones said. "We have a great relationship with the Milwaukee staff. They're a good team and they presented a different challenge than Marquette. We wanted to build on a solid performance against Marquette, but be better, and I think we had a good shift tonight, good defensive momentum and we were able to get a goal. Now we have another challenge against a good team on Sunday."
How It Happened
Loyola compiled a couple shot attempts in the first half, but it was senior
Aidan Megally who recorded the first shot on goal in the 39th minute. FreshmanÂ
Jason Ybarra had another opportunity just two minutes later, but the shot was blocked by a Milwaukee defender.
Freshman
Taiga Crenshaw was able to get a shot off at the 46th minute to start the second half, but it was also blocked. In the 53rd minute, Crenshaw was given a second chance on a corner kick that connected to freshman
Andrew Mitchell, who headed a six-yarder straight into goal.
Milwaukee's best scoring opportunity came in the 86th minute when sophomore Paolo Gratton sent a bicycle kick straight into the hands of goalkeeperÂ
Simon Jillson.Â
