CHICAGO (November 9, 2020) – For the second time in the last three seasons, the Loyola University Chicago men's basketball team has received votes for the Associated Press Top 25 Preseason Poll. The Ramblers, who went 21-11 a year ago, picked up three votes in the 2020-21 AP Preseason Poll, which was released today. Loyola also garnered votes for the AP Preseason Poll in 2018-19, picking up 162 points, on the cusp of cracking the Preseason Top 25.
Loyola was one of two Missouri Valley Conference teams to secure votes for the 2020-21 AP Preseason op 25 Poll, with preseason favorite and defending champion Northern Iowa collecting one vote.
Head coach
Porter Moser has piloted the Loyola program to three postseason berths in three of the last six seasons, including a trip to the NCAA Final Four in 2018. The tenth-year Ramblers coach welcomes back a veteran cast that includes all five starters from the 2019-20 club, including First Team All-MVC senior center
Cameron Krutwig and Third Team All-MVC guard/forward
Tate Hall along with sophomore guard
Marquise Kennedy, who was the 2020 MVC Sixth Man of the Year.
