CHICAGO (December 13, 2020) – In under 24 hours, Loyola University Chicago has added a pair of games versus nationally ranked opponents to its 2020-21 schedule. After scheduling a contest versus No. 19 Richmond for December 18 yesterday, the Ramblers announced today that they will travel to Madison, Wis., Tuesday (Dec. 15) to tangle with No. 13 Wisconsin at Kohl Center. Game time is slated for 7 p.m. CT and the contest will be televised live on Big Ten Network.
Â
Wisconsin has won four of its first five outings of 2020-21 and is coming off a 73-62 victory over Rhode Island on December 9. Redshirt senior forward Micah Potter leads a balanced Badgers offense with 12.8 points and 6.6 rebounds per outing. Head coach Greg Gard's squad is annually one of the top defensive teams in the nation and this season has been no exception as Wisconsin is holding opponents to 59.2 points per game and just 36.2 percent shooting from the field and 29.9 percent accuracy from three-point territory.
Â
Loyola and Wisconsin will be meeting for the 16th time and the first since November 14, 1998 when the teams matched up in Madison to open the 1998-99 campaign. The Badgers hold a 9-6 advantage in the series, but the Ramblers have taken three of the last five meetings between the programs.Â
