Loyola Adds Game Versus Saint Francis (Ill.) On December 22

Contest will be Ramblers’ final tune-up before Valley play begins December 27

CHICAGO (December 20, 2020) – Loyola University Chicago head men's basketball coach Porter Moser announced tonight that the Ramblers have added a game to their 2020-21 schedule and will host the University of Saint Francis (Ill.) on Tuesday, Dec. 22, at noon at Gentile Arena.

This will be just the second meeting between Loyola and Saint Francis and the first since December 28, 2009, when the Ramblers picked up a 63-46 victory at Gentile Arena.

Saint Francis, which brings a 5-2 record into Tuesday's contest, has won five of its last six outings and is coming off an 85-76 victory over Huntington yesterday. Coach Ryan Marks' Saints are led by senior guard Eric Ting, who accounts for a team-best 12.7 points per game and shoots a scorching 66.7 percent (12-for-18) from three-point range.

Loyola (3-2) has dropped its last two games, both to nationally ranked teams, and is set to open Missouri Valley Conference action when it hosts Illinois State December 27 and 28.
