CHICAGO (December 4, 2020) – Long-time city rivals Loyola University Chicago and UIC have agreed to a four-game men's basketball series over the next four seasons it was announced today. After a short respite in the long-running series last season, the teams will match up at Credit Union 1 Arena on December 13 to start the four-game series.

Loyola will host the Flames during the 2021-22 and 2023-24 seasons, making another trip to the Near West Side in 2022-23.

This year's meeting between the teams will be the 57
th in a series that dates back to 1986. Loyola has dominated the recent history, winning each of the last seven, and 12 of the last 14, showdowns with UIC. Since 2000, six of the 38 games between the former conference mates have gone into overtime and 18 have been decided by six points or less.

Loyola went 21-11 a year ago for its third straight campaign with 20 or more wins. Tenth-year Ramblers head coach

Tate Hall.

After a 10-day delayed start to the season, the Ramblers raise the curtain on the 2020-21 campaign tomorrow when they host Lewis at 2 p.m. Loyola will also face Chicago State at Gentile Arena at 2 p.m. on December 9.
