Loyola Men’s Basketball Game Versus Valparaiso Is Sold Out

Ramblers sell out three home games in February

CHICAGO (February 7, 2020) – Loyola University Chicago's men's basketball game versus Valparaiso this Sunday (Feb. 9) at Gentile Arena is officially sold out, it was announced today. This marks the second straight home game that has drawn a capacity crowd at Gentile Arena, following a packed house of 4,963 spectators that turned out for the Ramblers' victory over Bradley on February 1.

Since the start of the 2017-18 season, Loyola has now sold out 10 men's basketball games at Gentile Arena. Prior to a February 24, 2018 matchup with Illinois State in the regular-season finale, a sellout crowd had not packed Gentile Arena since it was reconfigured for the 2011-12 season. That crowd of 4,963 against Illinois State in 2018 marked the first packed house in the building since February 27, 2003 when 5,392 fans turned out to see the Ramblers face crosstown rival UIC in the then-5,200-seat facility.

The Ramblers will be seeking their sixth straight home win when they take on Valparaiso Sunday afternoon in a game that will be televised nationally on ESPNU. Loyola is 15-9 overall and 7-4 in Missouri Valley Conference action this season.

Tickets for Loyola's remaining men's basketball games, with the exception of the February 15 contests versus Northern Iowa, which is also sold out, are available by visiting www.ramblertickets.com or calling (773) 508-WOLF.
