CHICAGO (January 22, 2021) – Keith Clemons, a senior on the Loyola University Chicago men's basketball team, is featured in this week's State Farm Missouri Valley Conference Student-Athlete Spotlight. 
 
A transfer from Vincennes University, Clemons owns a 3.39 grade-point average as an advertising and public relations major, and last year, was named to the MVC Honor Roll. To qualify for the MVC Scholar-Athlete Spotlight, student-athletes must carry a cumulative grade-point average of 3.20, completed at least one academic year at a Valley institution and must be at least a sophomore in academic standing.
 
The 6-foot-1 guard had a solid debut season with the Ramblers in 2019-20, accounting for 10.4 points, 1.7 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.2 steals per game, while shooting 45.7 percent (37-for-81) from three-point range to help Loyola to a 21-win season.
 
This season, Clemons fought through some nagging injuries early, but has found his way back into the starting lineup and over the last three contests is producing 6.3 points, 1.7 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 2.0 steals per game and shooting 58.3 percent (7-for-12) from the field and 66.7 percent (4-for-6) from beyond the arc.
 
Loyola is off to an 11-3 start this season and sports a 6-1 mark in MVC action. The Ramblers are back in action January 24 and 25 when they visit Bradley.
