CHICAGO (March 15, 2021) – For the sixth straight week, the Loyola University Chicago men's basketball team is ranked in the Associated Press Top 25 Poll, checking in at No. 17, up one spot from last week. The Ramblers, who have earned their second NCAA Tournament berth in the last four seasons, also moved up two positions to No. 16 in the Ferris Mowers Coaches Poll.
 
One of the hottest teams entering this week's NCAA Tournament and winner of 17 of its last 18 games, including each of the last six, Loyola boasts the nation's top scoring defense (55.5). The Ramblers have won 20 or more games in four consecutive seasons and are one of only 12 NCAA Division I teams with 97 or more wins over the last four seasons.
 
Eighth-seeded Loyola (24-4, 16-2 MVC) faces No. 9 seed Georgia Tech in a NCAA Tournament First Round contest on Friday (March 19) at 3 p.m. CT at Hinkle Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. The game will be televised live on TBS.
