Devin Johnson turned in the low round of the day for the Loyola University Chicago men's golf team as the Ramblers wrapped up play at the Wright State Invitational in Springboro, Ohio today.

The Maroon & Gold posted a final-round 310 to finish 15
th in the team standings with a 54-hole total of 920 (310-300-310). Host Wright State (287-292-294=873) coasted to the team championship, while Valparaiso's Caleb VanArragon (69-73-68) claimed individual medalist honors with a three-under-par 210 (69-73-68).

"Little bit of a frustrating week for us," Loyola head men's golf coach
Erik Hoops stated. "We just could never seem to get momentum going and make a couple putts to get moving in the right direction. We've got one week to get a few things sorted out and back where we want to be. We'll be ready."

Johnson shot his second consecutive round in the 70s to lead the Rambler attack at the Heatherwoode Golf Club (par 71, 6,754 yards). Bolstered by an eagle on the par-four 14
th hole, the Geneva, Ill. native finished with a three-over-par 74 to close play tied for 21
st place at 225 (80-71-74).

The pairing of seniors
Ryan Magee and
Justin LaFrance were separated by just a shot on the final individual leaderboard. Magee carded an 82 to tie for 39
th with a 229 (75-72-82), while LaFrance posted a 77 to bring his total to 230 (77-76-77), earning a share of 41
st.Â

Sophomore
Zach Walsh shot an 83 that saw him finish 77
th at 243 (78-82-83). Fellow sophomore
Timmy Crawford capped off his tournament with a 77 to place 80
th with a 245 (87-81-77).

Loyola returns home next week to host the 2021 Missouri Valley Conference Men's Golf Championship, April 26-27. The Ramblers will play host to this year's edition of the league meet at the Flossmoor Country Club in suburban Flossmoor, Ill.
