CHICAGO (August 3, 2021) – Milton Doyle (Chicago, Ill./Marshall/Kansas), who wrapped up his playing career at Loyola University Chicago in 2017, will compete with the Portland Trail Blazers during NBA Summer League action. The lanky, 6-foot-4 guard was named to Loyola's All-Century Team in 2018 and was a First Team All-Missouri Valley Conference selection as a senior in 2016-17.

Doyle played the 2020-21 season with Pallacanestro Trieste in Italy and in 2018 became the first Loyola product to play in a NBA regular season game in 30 years when he appeared in 10 contests for the Brooklyn Nets. A member of Loyola's 1,000-point club, the guard has also had stops in Israel (Hapoel Eilat) Spain (UCAM Murcia) and with both the Long Islands Nets and Windy City Bulls in the NBA G League, in his professional career.

During his senior campaign with the Ramblers in 2016-17, Doyle accounted for 15.2 points, 5.0 rebounds, 4.4 assists and 1.7 steals per outing, helping Loyola to 18 victories, and in the process earning First Team All-MVC recognition. While playing with Trieste in Italy last season, he racked with 12.3 ppg, 2.3 rpg, 3.5 apg and 1.4 spg, and drained 74 three-point field goals.

Doyle ranks ninth in Loyola history with 1,606 career points and fifth in program annals with 459 assists.

The MGM Resorts NBA Summer League runs Aug. 8 through 17 in Las Vegas and Doyle and Portland open competition versus the Charlotte Hornets on Aug. 8 at 5 p.m. CT. That game will be televised live on NBA TV. The 16
thMGM Resorts NBA Summer League will feature all 30 NBA teams playing five games each. After every team plays four games, the two teams with the best records from the first four games will meet in the championship game on Tuesday, Aug. 17 at 9 p.m. ET on ESPN. The 28 teams that do not play in the championship game will play a fifth game on Aug. 16 or Aug. 17.
