CHICAGO (October 17, 2022) – Coming off a third straight victory, the Loyola University Chicago men's cross country team has ascended to No. 5 in the latest United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Midwest Region Poll. The Ramblers' current ranking marks the program's highest position in the regional poll in program history.

th (23:58.2) to round out a trio in the top 20 for the Maroon & Gold, as all five members of Loyola's top five posted new 8k personal bests.
Loyola edged out Wichita State, who it topped at the Bradley Pink Classic on Friday for the team title, for the fifth spot in the regional rankings. Perennial powers Oklahoma State, Tulsa, Iowa State, and South Dakota State made up the rest of the top five.
Loyola opens the postseason on Saturday, October 29 at the Atlantic 10 Conference Cross Country Championships in Mechanicsville, Va.
