Game Recap: Men's Volleyball |

Five Ramblers Make No Hitting Errors In Win Over Lions

Loyola Men's Volleyball defeated Lindenwood University 3-0.

ST. CHARLES, Mo. (March 31, 2022) – In the first leg of this road trip hitting the southern part of the MIVA, the Loyola University Chicago men's volleyball team faced off against Lindenwood University. After three sets of play, the Ramblers came out with the win over the Lions (25-16, 25-9, 25-17).

HOW IT HAPPENED
From the start of the first set, the Ramblers had control of the game. Loyola went on a 4-0 service run with Garrett Zolg at the line to start the first set, giving the Maroon and Gold the advantage from the start. They moved forward with the set in the same fashion as Loyola had a dominate 25-16 win to begin the match.

Loyola lit up even more in the second set. Multiple Ramblers went on service runs in this set to grab their biggest winning margin of the season as they stole the second set 25-9.

If Lindenwood wanted to stay in the match, it had to take the third set out of this hot Loyola team. The Lions clawed at the Ramblers' lead as the third set heated up. Lindenwood was within two of Loyola until Zolg again went back to the service line. Once he was back there, he helped his team grow its lead. This ultimately pushed the Ramblers ahead as they defeated the Lions 25-17.
