Men's Soccer Rounds Out Recruiting Class With Eight Signees

Loyola University Chicago Men's Soccer added four new members to its team since the early signing period.

CHICAGO (June 8, 2022) – The Loyola University Chicago men's soccer team rounded out its recruiting class for the 2021-22 academic year. There have been four new additions since four members were announced earlier this year. 
 
"I couldn't be more excited to add these eight members to our team this August," said Head Coach Steve Bode. "They are a talented group of players who possess a strong work ethic both on and off the field. Most importantly, they are high character people who will add immense value to our program." 
 
The first new member to this Rambler squad is Kameron Kist. The New Albany, Ohio, native played for New Albany High School and Ohio Premier ECNL. During his high school career, Kist was an All-American and received First Team All-State, All-Region and All-District honors. Along with that, he was an ECNL First Team All-Conference team member and was selected as a ECNL National Player. Along with his personal accolades, Kist helped New Albany to the state finals while his team was ranked fourth in the nation. He also led his club team to ECNL Nationals after his team won the conference. He chose Loyola over Duquesne and Yale. 
 
Up next in the most recent signing class is Chris Quisenberry. The forward comes to Rogers Park from Columbus, Indiana, where he played for Columbus East High School. During his high school career, he received First Team All-Hoosier Hills Conference honors four times while also earning First Team All-District honors three times. Quisenberry was an All-American and The Republic's Player of the Year while ending his high school career as Columbus East's all-time leading scorer. He finished his high school career with 61 goals and 31 assists over 73 games. He chose Loyola over Clemson, Saint Louis and UNC. 
 
Also joining this signing class is Ben Bischof, who comes to Loyola from Germany. The midfielder played for German U18 National Team, participating in training camps and a tournament in Israel. He was also a part of FC Bayern Alzenau. He attended Gymansium Eltville, where he earned Hesse State honors playing with SV Wehen Wiesbaden. He also helped that team win the Hesse State Cup. He was also the captain of the U17 Bundesliga team. 
 
The final person joining this recruiting class is Bryan Silver. The midfielder is using his fifth year of eligibility to play here at Loyola Chicago after winning the ACC Championship with Notre Dame. He played in 20 of the team's 24 games, helping the Fighting Irish to a 14-5-5 record. He also helped the team register 13 shutouts on the season, stopping balls in the midfield. Prior to Notre Dame, Silver played soccer at Oakton High School in Herndon, Virginia. During his time high school career, Silver was a two-time US Coaches All-American. He was also the All-Met Player of the Year for The Washington Post and was the Virginia Gatorade Player of the Year. He helped his high school team win the district and regional championships while being named a runner-up at the state tournament. Along with that, he won a national championship with his club team, Loudoun Soccer Club. 

There were four student-athletes that signed during the early signing period in November.

The first recruit to sign is Aidan Crawford. The Wilmette, Illinois, native played for New Trier High School as a goalkeeper under Coach Matt Ravenscraft. During his time with the team, he received IHSA All-State and Chicagoland Soccer All-State honors multiple times. He also helped his team to a CSL Conference Championship and IHSA Regional Championship in two out of this four years. He has 25 shutouts, 181 saves and a .578 goals-against average for his career at New Trier. For club, Crawford plays for Chicago FC United under Coach Greg Hennelly. He received All-Tournament team honors at the Northside College Showcase. Crawford chose to come to Loyola over Creighton, Middlebury and the University of Chicago. 
 
Jason Sukow is the next recruit to join the team during the early signing period. He comes from San Antonio, Texas, where he is a center mid for Coach Gilbert Villarreal. He also played club soccer for San Antonio FC under Coach Nick Evans. During his time with SAFC, he was named a team captain and helped his team win the USL Academy South Central Division Regular Season Championship. He chose Loyola over DePaul and Wofford. 

The last player to join this group of student-athletes is Ryan Van De Winkle. The defender comes from Macomb, Michigan, where he played club soccer for Vardar Academy. During his time with the team, he helped his team make it to the Winter DA Cup Playoffs. He also was a part of the U17 team that finished in 23rd at the MLS Next tournament. The U19 team he plays for us currently ranked fourth in their conference. Van De Winkle is a captain of his team and also trained with the Youth National Team's regional pool. He is also nationally-ranked by TopDrawer Soccer. He is 112th overall nationally, 41st for defenders nationally, and is 10th overall in the Great Lakes Region. 
 
Along with these four athletes, TJ Cairney will be a freshman on the team in the fall. He came to campus this spring to start training with the team.
