Loyola Travels to VCU for Sunday Matinée

Tipoff set for noon CT in Richmond, Va.

CHICAGO (January 28, 2023) – The Loyola University Chicago women's basketball team (6-14, 1-6 A-10) continues conference play this weekend with a Sunday afternoon contest at VCU (5-14, 2-5 A-10). Tipoff is slated for noon CT in Richmond, Va., with the game airing live on ESPN+.

LAST TIME OUT
Loyola trailed 64-56 with under five minutes remaining against George Washington, but the Ramblers couldn't close the gap after starting the fourth quarter on an 8-0 run in Wednesday's 75-61 setback. Despite outscoring GW in the second half, Loyola never led in the contest. GW knocked down eight 3-pointers in the first half and shot nearly 70% in the second quarter to build an 18-point halftime lead. Emma Nolan scored a season-high 15 points while Kira Chivers recorded a career-best 12 points to lead Loyola in scoring. Sitori Tanin tied her career-high with four blocks and grabbed 10 boards for her second double-digit rebounding performance of the season. The Ramblers had a season-low six turnovers, running its streak to nine consecutive games with fewer turnovers than its opponent.
