Zach Walsh, the Loyola University Chicago men's golf team wrapped up day one of competition in eighteenth at the Badger Invitational. The Ramblers fired a 308 in their first round, five strokes behind Maryland (303) in seventeenth.
Graduate student
Zach Walsh paced the Maroon & Gold, firing seven birdies to rally to a one-under-par 71, placing him in a tie for 21
st. Following behind him was sophomore
Sebastian Kasun, who carded a three-over-par 75 to place in 58
th. Freshman
Jackson Overton (T-77) carded a 79 in his collegiate debut while sophomores
Charlie Kulwin (89
th; 83) and
Ryan Walsh (90
th; 84) finished one stroke apart on the leaderboard.
The Ramblers are back in action on Monday morning, beginning with a 9:30 a.m. start.
