LIBERTYVILLE, Il. (October 9, 2023) – After 36-holes, the Loyola University Chicago women's golf team opened the Loyola Parkinson Family Invitational in a share of seventh place.

The Ramblers opened their day with a first-round tally of 328 strokes, before shaving sixteen strokes off with a 312 in their second round. Their tally gives them a 36-hole total of 640, putting them even with Butler (328-312).

Junior
Jolie Brochu paced the Maroon & Gold after day one, placing in 7th with a 153 (74-79), with her first-round 74 being the Ramblers' low score. Freshman
Grace Durkin trailed behind her with a tally of 158 (81-77) to place in 21st while Junior
Cate Reisinger placed in 37
th with a 161 (84-77).  Senior
Abby Thielbar shaved eleven strokes off of her first-round total with a 79 in her second round to card a 169 (63
rd; 90-79) and freshman
Cassie Psuik rounded out the starting-five with a 174 (T-71; 89-85).Â

On the individual side, senior
Kate Meier led the pack with a 164 (T-46; 80-84). Three strokes behind her was redshirt freshman
Reese Clark with a 167 (61
st; 81-86) while freshman
Amelia Gatti placed in 71
st with a 174 (88-86).
