CHICAGO (April 10, 2023) –
Madison Ebeling is named the A-10 Player of the Week, the league announced Monday afternoon. It marks her first weekly honor of the season, and Loyola's first Player of the Week award since joining the conference this season.
At UMass, Ebeling went on a tear hitting .700. She finished with a double, triple, homer, five runs and four RBI. The Ramblers went 2-1 on the weekend with her help.
In game one of the series, Ebeling finished 3-for-4 at the plate. She hit a double, scored once, and plated three runners. Ebeling's double came in the sixth inning and brought in Loyola's final two runs of the game securing a 7-2 win.
Ebeling followed up with a stellar performance in game two of the series going a perfect 3-for-3 at the plate. She nearly hit the cycle with a triple and home run for the Ramblers. The short stop added three runs and one RBI. She also tallied two walks helping lead to a 1.300 on-base percentage for the series.
Loyola's first run of the second game came on an Ebeling solo blast to left field in the third inning. It was one of three home runs for the Ramblers, and Ebeling's third of the season. She now leads the Ramblers in the stat category.
In the series finale, Ebeling tallied another hit and run to cap a solid weekend performance.
