Two Ramblers Join 2023 Women's Soccer Roster

CHICAGO (June 2, 2023) – Head women's soccer coach Barry Bimbi announced an additional two signees to the 2023 roster Friday afternoon. Joining the squad is a freshman midfielder out of Florida and a junior defender transferring from Lewis University.

The pair of Ramblers will complete the 2023 roster.

Ansley Cryan, MF, 5-7, Jacksonville, Fla. (The Providence School)
Cryan joins Loyola as a freshman midfielder out of Jacksonville, Florida. Cryan played under head coach Rylie Hirst at The Providence School and also for United Soccer Alliance GA club team under Nick Fogarty. In 2021-22, Cryan helped her team to the school's first final four appearance capturing ECNL First Team Southeast Conference honors. She is a four-year letterwinner and a two-time team captain and ECNL leading goal scorer. Cryan was named a Florida Times Union Player to Watch in 2022-23, was rated the 12th overall prospect in Florida by TopDrawer Soccer in 2022, and rated a three-star player by TopDrawer Soccer.

Bimbi on Cryan: "Adding an athletic, left-footed player with great speed this late in the recruiting process is definitely a bonus. Ansley should add some energy and productivity to our attack this fall."

Kenedi Jones, D, 5-4, Cary, Ill. (Lewis/Cary Grove)
Jones played the last two seasons at Lewis where she was a two-time Delahanty Award winner and GLVC All-Academic Team honoree. She also earned CSC Academic All-District honors and was a four-time Dean's List member. In her freshman season, Jones started all 17 games and logged over 1,500 minutes on the pitch. In her sophomore campaign, she made 16 starts, clocked over 1,100 minutes, and tallied a pair of assists. Prior to her collegiate career, Jones played under head coach Raymond Krystal at Cary Grove. She helped her team to a regional and conference championship with a 14-3-1 record. She totaled nine goals and 16 assists leading to a First Team All-Conference and All-Area Honorable Mention nod. Jones was also a member of Shockers FC Chicago and played for David Richardson and Rudy Cleveland.

Bimbi on Jones: "We are excited to add such an experienced defender for the fall. Kenedi had a huge impact on the Lewis program her first two years of college starting all 34 games."
