NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (August 28, 2023) - Ansley Cryan takes home her first weekly honor, the Atlantic 10 conference announced Monday afternoon. The Jacksonville, Florida native was named Rookie of the Week following Loyola's road trip to Ohio. It's the first weekly award for the Ramblers this season.

Cryan took advantage of her 16 minutes on the pitch at Toledo last week helping Loyola Chicago to its first win of the season. The first goal of her career came in the 74th minute against the Rockets. Jaimee Cibulka played the ball to Cryan who netted the game winner in a 2-1 decision at Toledo.

So far this season, Cryan has played in three of the four matches and taken four shots. Both her attempts on goal came against the Rockets last week.
