DADE CITY, FLA. (February 5, 2024) – The Loyola University Chicago men's golf team began their spring slate this morning at the MAC/A10 Challenge in Dade City, Florida, falling in match play to Eastern Michigan and Central Michigan.

The Ramblers opened their first set of matches against Eastern Michigan, coming up just short by a score of 3.5-2.5. Sophomore
Ryan Walsh (5&3) began his day strong, winning his opening match three holes early, with fellow sophomore
Sebastian Kasun (2&1) utilizing a strong birdie at the par-five ninth hole to take victory in his match. Sophomore
Charlie Kulwin halved his match while graduate student
Zach Walsh (5&3), redshirt-sophomore
Zach Mulhearn (1-down), and freshman
Jackson Overton (7&6) all fell in their opening rounds.

Loyola's second round pitted them against Central Michigan, dropping the set by a score of 4.0-2.0.
Ryan Walsh (1-up) preserved his perfect record while Mulhearn picked up his first win of the day via a 3&2 margin.
Zach Walsh (2&1), Kasun (2-down), Kulwin (3&1), and Overton (3&2) all dropped their second matches to conclude the day for the Maroon & Gold.

The Ramblers now take on No. 8 seeded Ohio tomorrow morning in a consolation match, beginning at 7:30 a.m. (CT) with a shotgun start.
