INDIANAPOLIS, IND. (April 1, 2024) – Following a strong second round for sophomore
Sebastian Kasun, the Loyola University Chicago men's golf team currently sits in twelfth place at the Butler Spring Invitational.
The Ramblers opened their first round with a 292, before shaving off five strokes for a 287 in their second round. Loyola finished their day with a grand total of 579 strokes.
Kasun opened his day with a three-over-par 73 in his first round before carding five birdies for a three-under 67 in his second round, tying his career-low mark. The sophomore currently sits in a share of 16
th with 140 strokes (73-67).
Placing behind Kasun were sophomores
Ryan Walsh (T-43) and
Charlie Kulwin (T-54), who placed a shot apart with a 144 (73-71) and 145 (72-73) respectively. Graduate student
Zach Walsh finished his day with a 150 (T-91; 74-76) while freshman
Jackson Overton placed a stroke behind him with a 151 (T-96; 75-76).
The Ramblers open their final round on Tuesday morning, with action set to begin with an 8:00 a.m. shotgun start.
