CHAMPAIGN, ILLINOIS (April 20, 2024) – The Loyola University Chicago men's golf team opened play Saturday morning at the Fighting Illini Spring Collegiate on Saturday morning, finishing the day in eleventh place.
The Ramblers opened their day with a combined score of 315 strokes, before shaving off 12 shots in their second round with a 303.
Leading the charge for the Ramblers was graduate student
Zach Walsh, who sits in 41
st with a 153 (76-77). One stroke behind him was sophomore
Sebastian Kasun, who fired the team's low-round of the day with a 74 in his second round to place in 43
rd with a 154 (80-74). Sophomores
Ryan Walsh (T-46; 80-75) and
Charlie Kulwin (T-50; 79-77) placed a stroke apart, with score of 155 and 156 respectively, whereas sophomore
Dori Lee rounded out the lineup with a 164 (68
th; 84-80).
Final round action for the Ramblers will begin on Sunday morning, with tee times set to begin at 9:48 a.m. (CT).
