CHICAGO – Sonia Stachurski, a senior international business major with a minor in Japanese language and culture of Loyola Chicago's Quinlan School of Business, was recognized March 28 as a 2024 PNC Achiever at the men's volleyball game vs. Queens on March 28.
Stachurski joins other PNC Achievers who, since 2017, have been acknowledged for their notable efforts in academic achievement, community service or student leadership.
"PNC Achievers is about honoring students who are motivated to strive for excellence. We congratulate Sonia on her academic achievements and leadership engagement," said Scott Swanson, PNC regional president for Illinois and territory executive for the Midwest region. "By celebrating with a special ceremony in the presence of student peers and faculty, we hope her journey can inspire others to reach their full potential at school and beyond."
Stachurski has a passion for meeting new people, making connections, and contributing positively to the communities around her. In addition to work experience and volunteer opportunities, Stachurski has made a positive impact on Loyola and Quinlan School of Business through her engagement in the classroom. Stachurski has represented Loyola and Quinlan globally, studying at Sophia University in Tokyo twice. She has served as a representative of her class on the Quinlan Commencement Student Speaker Selection Committee, through speaking with prospective students and families at Admissions events, and serving as a Japanese tutor with the tutoring center.
Stachurski is known for her positive attitude, creating community wherever she is, and being an active participant in her college journey. The Quinlan School of Business congratulates Stachurski on all her achievements.
