Avary DeBlieck is named this week's Atlantic 10 Defensive Player of the Week. It marks her first honor of the season, and Loyola's first defensive nod of 2025.
DeBlieck helped the Ramblers to a 3-0 week that saw a five-set battle at Saint Louis followed by two home sweeps vs. Duquesne.Â
The middle blocker averaged 2.0 blocks per set after posting 18 over the three matches.
At Saint Louis, DeBlieck totaled three blocks, two of which were solo attempts.Â
In match one vs. the Dukes, DeBlieck tallied seven total blocks. Two were solo while five were block assists. DeBlieck added eight more in match two with three more solo blocks.
