CHICAGO — Loyola University Chicago track opened its 2025–26 indoor season Friday at the Chicago State Cougar Alumni Open inside the Dr. Conrad Worrill Track & Field Center, highlighted by two top-three finishes and a personal-best performance.
On the men's side, James Howell led the Ramblers with a fourth-place finish in the 600 meters, clocking 1:21.32.
Loyola delivered a strong group performance in the men's 3,000 meters, placing four runners inside the top 10. Eugene Niox-Chateau led the pack in fourth with a time of 8:18.02, followed by Dylan Ybarra in seventh at 8:23.29 and Francesco Benelli in eighth at 8:24.62. Colby Revord finished 10th in 8:26.21, while Trent Anderson placed 13th in 8:48.65 and Kyle Knutson took 16th in 9:10.23.
The women's team produced several strong early-season marks. Natalya Kuchenbuch placed third in the 600 meters at 1:40.63, while Lindsey Kiehl earned a third-place finish in the mile with a time of 5:05.57.
Loyola secured three additional spots in the mile's top eight, with Jo Collins taking sixth in 5:14.34, Claire Blotnik finishing seventh in 5:14.42, and Mackenzie Armstrong placing eighth in 5:31.43.
In the 3,000 meters, Priscilla Ravera clocked a personal-best 10:10.23 to finish ninth.
Loyola returns to action tomorrow (Dec. 6) in Boston at the Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener.
